Final Print

San Fran

Just came back from a study trip with GdI, where we had a week in San Francisco which was incredible. I will be making a book of the experience.

Screenprint Induction

Over a year and a half of waiting and I finally get my screenprint induction. We had an afternoon to do a two colour A3 screenprint, so I used a random design that I knocked up the night before. Me and Jono shared a bed. Thats right.

NICE

Finally got a suscription to Its Nice That!

Paper Making

I made my own paper for the first time which was amazing! Here are a few photos of the process- pictures of the final result to follow...

For my bookarts extension studies I am thinking about how to get people reading more through interaction with books in different ways. This is a quick mock-up of a book that could also be used as a bedside lamp.

Letterpress36

I finally got round to getting into letterpress for a few days... her are few experiments based around the number 36

Audio Tooth Implant

I smashed up my teeth in a drunken fall and need to get them replaced... my chance to get one of these badboys! A miniature audio device implanted during routine dental surgery. Information is received from a mobile phone, radio or computer and resonate through your jawbone to your inner ear.

2 BIRDS, ONE STONE

I gathered a load of stereos, record players, radios etc. from around the house to photograph- luckily Ojay collects this kind of thing so there was plenty to work with. I used the photos in a book based around grids in retro audio equipment, but they also double up as research for my personal project. Check out a slideshow of the gear here!

Personal Project Blog

I have set up a blog for my personal project over on Wordpress (sorry Blogger fancied a change). Check it out here!

Happy 4th Birthday iPod

I got my iPod 4 Christmas' ago and it's still going strong... the screen may be a little cracked but it looks cool and it forces me to listen to music I own but don't usually choose to listen to. Winner.
