Finding A Grid
Now I have a bit of spare time I can document some projects from my last 2 terms... this was an old summer project that never actually got handed in...
We were to find and document grids in our surrounding environments, and I looked into grid systems within Retro Electronic Audio Equipment. There are 20 double-sided pages for 20 pieces of equipment- one side a studio shot with the make/ model, and the other side a head on view with the grid of that model outlined. Book binding was closed so I used a basic method of binding that required no stitching or glueing- the prints were done on thick card, all held together by elastic bands and cover boards.

YCN entry
Collab with Morgan for YCN. After changing which brief we were doing 3 times we finally decided on doing the 20th Anniversary of Sonic- with less than a week before the deadline!
We designed an envelope that integrates the value of a poster with the portability of a letter. From the outside this appears to be a traditional piece of mail, but on opening the individual unfolds and reveals a poster of the first ever level, which became the foundation of the game, and is still incorporated 20 years on. This is not a piece of mail that will be discarded, it is a piece that could hang on ones wall, free stand or be simply treasured.
Stop frame animation of opening process to follow soon!

I love freecycle
A few crates of design mags were offered on freecycle so snapped them up straight away. I got about 150 issues of a combination of Wired, Icon, Wallpaper and Viewpoint magazine- all recent copies from the last couple of years. Banging. Included was a cover of Wallpaper done by Dentsu, one of my all time favourite design companies. Check the photos!
